A Tour to the Private Higher Educational Institutions at Kuala Lumpur

On 14th of March 2016 (Monday), the Guidance and Counselling club organized a tour to the Private Higher Educational Institutions at Kuala Lumpur. The purpose of this tour was to let the students to experience the university life and the surrounding area of the university. Along the tour, detailed explanation of the courses were given by the Private Higher Educational Institutions. There are 40 students joined this tour and leaded by 4 teacher advisor of the Guidance and Counselling club who is Mr. Chan Wai Keong, Pn.Navaneswari a/p Vengadasalam, Pn.Siti Norhafiza binti Zanaia Bidin and Mr. Megat Aizad Iberahim. The universities which were visited by the participants of the trip include University Xiamen Malaysia, University UCSI, and University KDU Shah Alam. The students gathered at the school and departed from the school at 6.30am by bus. After arriving at the University Xiamen, the participants of the trip were welcomed by the committee members of the university and invited to attend the talk in the hall. After that , they were leaded by committee to visit the surrounding area of the university such as library, classroom and dormitory. Next, a talk was given and experiment was launched at the same time between the lecturer and students in University UCSI. On 15th of March 2016 (Tuesday), the participants of the trip attended a talk by the lecturer who is a specialist in the design of game together with the Form 5 students from SMJK Ave Maria Convent in University KDU Shah Alam. On top of that, the participants of the trip were leaded to visit the environment of the University KDU to let the students understand more clearly about the area and life of the University students. The tour ended nicely at 7.00pm. 在2016年3月14日(星期一), 本校辅导学会举办一个参观私立高等教育学府的活动。此次参观的目的是为了让学生体会大学生活以及大学的环境。此外，也为了让学生更了解私立高等教育学府的课程。40位学生在4位辅导学会的顾问老师包括陈伟强老师，Pn.Navaneswari a/p Vengadasalam, Pn.Siti Norhafiza binti Zanaia Bidin 和Mr. Megat Aizad Iberahim 的带领下参加了此活动。学生所参观的大学包括了马来西亚厦门大学，UCSI大学以及KDU大学。学生们在本校集合并于上午6时30分乘坐巴士前往目的地。抵达第一个大学（厦门大学）后，大学的委员前来迎接参观者并邀请他们到礼堂出席讲座会。之后，学生们在委员会成员的带领下参观大学的环境例如图书馆，课室以及宿舍。此外，学生在UCSI大学聆听讲座并与讲师做实验。在2016年3月15日(星期二), 此活动的参加者和圣母中学中五的学生一同参加了一个设计游戏专家的讲师的讲座会。最重要的是学生们被带领去参观KDU大学的环境以便学生会更了解大学环境以及大学学生的生活。此活动于晚上7时圆满结束。 Pada 14 Mac 2016 (Isnin), Kelab Bimbingan dan Kaunseling telah mengadakan lawatan ke IPTS, Kuala Lumpur.Objektif lawatan tersebut adalah untuk memberi pendedahan kepada pelajar mengenai keadaan sebenar dan kawasan sekitar universiti dan memberi penjelasan yang jelas kepada pelajar dengan kursus-kursus yang ditawarkan di IPTS. Seramai 40 orang pelajar menyertai rombongan ini dan diketuai oleh 4 orang guru penasihat kelab B&K iaitu En.Chan Wai Keong, Pn.Navaneswari a/p Vengadasalam, Pn.Siti Norhafiza binti Zanaia Bidin dan En.Megat Aizad Iberahim. Universiti yang dilawat oleh rombongan tersebut adalah Universiti Xiamen Malaysia, Universiti UCSI dan Universiti KDU Shah Alam. Pelajar telah berkumpul di sekolah dan bertolak dari sekolah pada pukul 6.30 pagi dengan bas. Setibanya di Universiti Xiamen, peserta lawatan telah disambut oleh ahli jawatankuasa kolej tersebut dan dijemput untuk menghadiri ceramah di dewan kolej, kemudiannya mengunjungi kawasan sekitar universiti seperti perpustakaan,bilik darjah dan asrama. Seterusnya, program ceramah telah disediakan dan experimen dijalankan pada masa yang sama antara speaker dengan pelajar untuk menggalakkan suasana di Universiti UCSI. Pada 15 Mac 2016 (Selasa), peserta lawatan telah menghadiri satu ceramah yang disediakan oleh seorang speaker yang pakar dalam reka bentuk permainan bersama-sama dengan pelajar-pelajar tingkatan 5 dari SMJK Ave Maria Convent di Universiti KDU Shah Alam. Selepas itu, peserta lawatan dibawa untuk melawat sekitar Universiti KDU supaya memberi pendedahan kepada pelajar tentang kawasan dan kehidupan pelajar universiti.
