Tale Spin 2014

The finals of the Tale Spin 2014 was held on the 24^th September 2014 at a Pizza Hut outlet in Kota Damansara. It saw two teams of each category performing a flashback of their storyboards as well as a question-and-answer session with the judges. Organised by Star-NiE and Pizza Hut, the contest was based on storyboarding concept with characters from movies, books and other genres.

Our school team won the Grand Finals (Lower Secondary category). The team, Bane Asylum comprises of Cedric Lok Qi Feng, Jeremy Lee Jun Shern, Tan Jia Kai, Tan Jing Wei and Tan Ting Wei from 3C1. The Grand Prize was a 4 days 3 nights trip to Disneyland, Hong Kong.  It was a tough contest as there were more than 30,000 entries this year and only six teams were selected for the final stage. Our boys did their very best by putting on garbs to perfectly fit the roles in their story. They acted out their fantasy-and-action-themed play against a backdrop that suited an early 16^th century Rome setting. Parents and family members also helped with the props and costumes. The whole process was a wonderful experience to all as the boys  were very creative in coming up with the rigid 5 minute presentation.

The performance clearly won the hearts of the audience and judges alike. We hope their winning will inspire more students to take part in this event in the coming years.
