The Kid Witness News team from Penang Chinese Girls' High School emerged as the winners of the special award for best anchors during the KWN awards ceremony.

The team consists of:

 Chong Qiu Yuan Director; Editor
 Chong Ning Hui Cameralady; Editor
Koo Zhi Ern Scriptwriter; Anchorperson; Editor
Sim Jia Ying Music Composer; Anchorperson
 Yeoh Su Yee Soundlady
 Michelle Kua Xin Xuan Producer

The video clip that the KWN Team from PCGHS made, titled "The Living History of the Water Community", is mainly about the dependence of humans on the natural environment on Chew Jetty. The video first introduces the history and specialties of Chew Jetty. It then moves on to the lifestyle and daily activities of the residents on Chew Jetty. Besides that, the video also features interviews with the residents of Chew Jetty conducted about the reason they chose to stay in a water village instead of a normal house on land. During the long years they have stayed on the waterfront settlement, the residents have learned to adapt to the environment on Chew Jetty. This video shows what they have done to adapt to this unique environment.

This program has indeed encouraged the team to think more deeply and explore the lifestyle of the water community at Chew Jetty. Even though it is only a 5-minute video clip, they have learned how to communicate and collaborate with their team members and the residents at Chew Jetty. They have also improved their problem solving skills when they were facing technical problems during video shooting and the editing process. The mistakes they make during the process of filmmaking have given them valuable experiences.

Since joining the program, they have been very excited about the filming process as this was the first for them. Among all the several trips they made to Chew Jetty, there was once where the team had to wake up as early as 5.00 in the morning in order to film the beautiful sunrise at Chew Jetty. They have learned about lives of the residents of Chew Jetty and how comfortable they are living there after years and years of adapting to the environment.

The director, Chong Qiu Yuan, commented about their win, "The anchorpersons' efforts have paid off. I am so happy!"

The team is extremely honoured to have acquired this win.
