Chinese New Year's Celebration（17.2.2009）

On Friday 23rd January 2009, the Sixth Form Society organized a mini celebration for the Chinese New Year. At 11.00a.m., our principal, Mr Phang gave a Chinese New Year message over the PA system. This was followed by a lion and dragon dance performance by the Wushu Club on the road beside the school field. The lion dance continued along the corridors of classrooms. Mandarin oranges and “angpau” packets were given to classes by the “God of Prosperity”. There was airing of Chinese New Year songs too. All these created a cheerful and joyous atmosphere for students as well as teachers. Reported by Chan Kooi Khuan |
